The Charouleau Gap Trail
Description:
A moderately rough 4WD road that climbs about 1500 vertical feet to “The Gap”, a pass in San Maniego Ridge in the Santa Catalina Mountains. The road was recently “leveled” by the forest service to allow for better access to maintenance equipment. Many of the challenging obstacles have been jackhammered out. The trail continues through the gap and ends in oracle at which point you can take highway 77 back to Tucson.
